Four outstanding Kenyan Kabaddi athletes are set to represent their nation at the prestigious Bangabandhu Cup in Dhaka this month, marking a significant milestone for these players and highlighting the successful collaboration between the Kenya Kabaddi Union and the Kenya Academy of Sports.

These four players were selected based on their exceptional skills and dedication to the sport, which they showcased during the Kenya Academy of Sports holiday training camp held at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in December 2022. Under the guidance of experienced coaches and trainers, these athletes honed their skills and earned themselves a coveted spot to represent Kenya on the international stage.

TOBIAS KINYUA

Ryan Neville, the premier league’s top defender in the Kenya Kabaddi Premier League 1, has been selected to represent Kenya at the Bangabandhu Cup, a testament to his dedication and hard work. Danson Mbori, also known as OCHI, is an exceptional all-rounder whose versatility on the kabaddi field has made him a force to be reckoned with. Tobius Kinyua, another standout all-rounder from the Kenya Kabaddi Premier League 1, has also been selected to represent Kenya at the Bangabandhu Cup. Geoffrey Njuguna, the premier league’s most promising emerging talent, completes the quartet, indicating his potential and the bright future ahead for him in the world of kabaddi.
