Kenya Kabaddi Premier League

Kenya’s top flight: 14 men’s and 6 women’s clubs, a double round-robin and a playoff that rewards the regular season. Season 2 ended at Kasarani on 19 July 2026 in front of 3,332 people. Season 3 is expected in late January 2027.

Season 2 — the record

Both competitions were played as a double round-robin, so every club met every other club twice. The women’s competition then went to a traditional playoff; the men’s used the KKPL Advanced Playoff Format, in which the top eight qualify and the higher seeds get a second chance.

Season 3 and the new Division Two

KKU expects Season 3 to begin in late January 2027. A new second tier, launching with Season 3, to give emerging clubs a structured route into the Premier League.
